My career story

Tuukka Kauppinen is a lively and nature-loving young man born in 2006. He has always enjoyed being around various types of vehicles. Dismantling, building, maintaining, and driving have been Kauppinen's passions since he was a little boy, up until today.

Kauppinen first ventured into motorsports on karting tracks. His calm driving style and strong focus brought him good speed. From karting, Tuukka collected many wins and prestigious medals. In 2018, Kauppinen won the Raket Junior regional championship, the federation championship, and the champions' competition. In the 2019 season, his achievements included a Karting Raket Finnish Championship Bronze medal...

... Tuukka first entered the world of rallying in 2021. Kauppinen's goals were in the Rallisprint and Rally SM series. The season was educational in many ways, and Kauppinen developed tremendously throughout it. As a reward for his persistence, he won the Rallisprint Junior Finnish Championship and the Rally Junior Finnish Championship. Tuukka became the youngest Finnish champion in rally history, securing his victory at the age of 14.

In 2022, Kauppinen competed in the Rally SM series, in the SM5 class. The season was variable, but there were many great achievements along the way. Kauppinen finished third in the Rally SM5 class.

2023 saw Kauppinen race in the Rally SM4 class and the F-Cup rally series. The action was intense all year, despite some setbacks. The immense workload and improvement were rewarded at the end of the season with the SM4 class Finnish Championship and notable recognitions, including the Young Champion award and the Hannu Mikkola trophy. Kauppinen also competed in the F-Cup series at high speeds, but technical issues dropped him from the title battle to 4th place in the series. One of the highlights of 2023 was definitely the second-place finish in the Vetomies competition, held in conjunction with the Finnish World Rally Championship event, Secto Rally Finland! ...

... 2024 was a year of change. The goal for the season was quite simple... to win the Finnish Championship in the SM3 class. Before summer, Kauppinen also added the team championship to his goals when he joined the Rautio Motorsport team. Overall, the season was very eventful, with more setbacks than in previous years combined. Fortunately, Kauppinen received help from partners, family, and Rautio Motorsport, which ultimately made an amazing season possible. The intense season ended with a great race in Kitee, where Kauppinen won his third Finnish Championship and the team championship.

Although the third Finnish Championship was one of the season's highlights, it's also worth mentioning Kauppinen's first World Rally Championship race. Tuukka got the opportunity to participate in the Secto Rally Finland event in collaboration with Skoda Finland. The rally was a great opportunity to gain experience in the world of WRC. The car was the stunning Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, and the class was the very competitive WRC2. If there was one thing that stood out besides the amazing experience, it was Kauppinen's third-fastest Shakedown time
